Asia’s emerging economies are brimming with promise, but also bring with them their own set of risks and challenges, from changing regulations in some markets to others, where corruption and bribery are the norm. For companies to function effectively in these markets, they need superior lawyers who understand the lay of the land, are extremely well-connected locally, and also are able to provide expert guidance on how to not just survive, but also thrive in these markets.

For this reason, ALB is spotlighting its list of Emerging Markets Experts in the January 2017 issue. These are firms – both regional outfits as well as international entities – that are helping their clients in maximising the potential of these emerging markets, and appearing on key deals and disputes in the process. The countries are Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Firms will be selected based on their submissions. The criteria include, but are not restricted to, work done in, or related to these jurisdictions, notable clients in these jurisdictions, and other demonstrated expertise. To submit, please use the form attached here. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Dec. 16, 2016. Please send submissions to ranajit.dam@thomsonreuters.com.
